About

Hi, I’m Hailey! I’m an Fiber/Textile artist and art teacher who loves embroidering, reading, farmer’s markets, rainy walks, and a good cup of coffee.

I currently reside in Boston with my intelligent & supportive husband and mischievous pet rabbit, Speedracer.

My hope for this blog is that I can share with you my art, creative process, Etsy shop adventures, teaching moments (at my workplace with my students and in my everyday life), and overall thoughts, inspiration, advice and musings.

To me, fiber art feels like home, and I hope to bring that to you all, my customers, and my friends.

I graduated from art school a couple years back, and since then have been teaching, creating, planning and dreaming- which inspired me to create an online shop where I can share some of that with all of you! I was a Fibers major in college and primarily work in that medium, however I also love ceramics and painting when I have the time. I also teach kids classes during the week at a local art studio and I love it!

Growing up, I spent most of my formative (and now adult!) years in New England, but also enjoyed summers in Nebraska. My grandmother taught me to sew in her rural farmhouse and since then I have appreciated the versatility, movement, beauty and creation of all things fiber related. Every item I create goes off to live somewhere, and I am honored to give a piece, literally, of my joy of making to others! I like to experiment with different color palettes, materials, textures, and designs (I sketch everything out first). I am interested in and continually learning about sustainability and recycled materials, process-oriented teaching and work, science and nature in relation to art, making art accessible to all and creatively dealing with challenges!
